SATURDAY 13th August 2016
Eastbourne Airborne: The leading Air show in UK

John Boyce is lead boat to the BMYC Eastbourne Airborne cruise
Need to get the boat round Beachy Head by noon, if you want the tidal flow to help.

There is a designated mooring area off Eastbourne Beach when you will have a fabulous view of the various aircraft “strutting their stuff”.
Then later in the afternoon sail into Eastbourne Marina where the Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club (SHYC) will be delighted to welcome you. You will be able to motor into the inner harbour and moor up right outside the yacht club.
You will all be granted temporary membership that entitles you to a discount on the drinks!
We will liaise nearer the time, and get phone numbers, then you can phone ahead and warn SHYC when you are there. There will be willing hands to help mooring.
Return on Sunday to either spend a second day at Airborne, or return direct to Brighton

SATURDAY 3rd SEPTEMBER 2016
Day cruise to Newhaven for lunch
Silver Fox and Paul Duprey will be the lead boat
The tidal flows help you there in the morning and back home in the afternoon
I have been be in touch with Newhaven Yacht Club (NYC) – Graham Easton – and it’s likely there will be Newhaven members join you for lunch in the local hostelry. He tells me that several NYC members keep their boats at Brighton Marina –

What to do next

SATURDAY 13th August 2016
Please let me know that you will be involved! email the office to that effect.
May I have the name of your boat, its length and number on board and I will ensure tables are booked for you at SHYC.
and Finally – pairing members who want to sail and haven’t a boat, and members with boats who wouldn’t mind additional crew
We all know this is a personality fit arrangement.
I propose another Friday briefing – and getting the word out. The Newhaven to lunch cruise could be the perfect time to make matches.

Good sailing everyone, take care and more to follow
