Brighton Marina Yacht Club is very much part of Brighton Marina, founded in 1978 at time when Brighton Marina first opened. Since that time we have continued to evolve alongside development of the marina itself. Our first club premises were floating – on the MV Medina, which was moored in the marina. Since that time the clubhouse has had a number of different locations within the marina as development evolved from an empty landscape of reclaimed land to the busy residential and commercial environment still growing today.
We relocated once again in September 2015 to our new home afloat in the heart of Brighton Marina, surrounded by members’ boats. It is our largest space yet, with excellent facilities for members to enjoy, for events and business collaborations; and of course we extend a warm welcome to the many visiting yachtsmen from around the UK and overseas who find a safe and friendly haven in Brighton Marina.
Our Topsail Bar is well-stocked complimenting our excellent galley; a light and airy lounge area and extensive waterside terrace combine to produce the newest and most attractive social and sporting facilities in the City of Brighton.
Brighton Marina enjoys excellent sea access without the need to wait for lock gates, and features great pubs, restaurants, shopping and free car parking.
Please bear in mind that we are a private members club, owned and funded by our members. We are a not-for-profit organisation; accordingly, there are a few rules that we must apply that pubs and restaurants don’t have to adhere to, but, we have to limit the visiting occasions to six after which we invite those who want to continue to enjoy our facilities and the benefits of our membership to join us
